Wherever you are, whether at sea or on land, the RescueME PLB1 ensures that emergency services around the world will be immediately alerted at the touch of a button. Ocean Signal has designed the RescueME PLB1 to be operated with one hand, even in the most challenging situations. A spring-loaded flap simply covers the activation button to prevent accidental use. RescueME PLB1 operates exclusively using the universally recognized search and rescue satellite network operated by Cospas Sarsat. Being government-funded, this service is completely free for users. Once activated, the RescueME PLB1 transmits your location and ID to a rescue coordination center via satellite. Emergency services closest to your location are then immediately alerted of your emergency situation and current location, facilitating rapid response for your rescue. A PLB (PLB1 Ocean Signal personal beacon) does not necessarily transmit an MMSI, as it can be used both on land and at sea. The Ocean Signal PLB1 personal beacon can be registered on the website of the French COSPAS-SARSAT Mission Control Center (FMCC), manager of the French Registry of Distress Beacons, also called ” register 406 “.
No matter what adventure you undertake, whether at sea or on land, the PLB1 rescueME personal distress beacon ensures that, in the event of an emergency, help can be alerted with the push of a button.
