The Ocean Signal rescueME MOB2 AIS is the world’s smallest AIS man overboard (MOB) detection device, integrated with VHF DSC Digital Selective Calling (DSC) technology. This essential part of any marine safety kit is designed for rapid response in the event of a man overboard emergency. Compact and lightweight, the MOB2 integrates perfectly with even the most compact inflatable life jackets, ensuring automatic activation upon inflation. The rescueME MOB2 AIS offers two methods to quickly communicate your position with an accuracy of a few meters. First, the MOB2 sends its first alert in just 15 seconds, broadcasting your precise position using AIS technology to nearby vessels and onboard navigation systems. It communicates with the vessel you’ve become separated from as well as other vessels up to 5 miles away, depending on conditions. DSC technology instantly informs nearby vessels of the man overboard situation.
Next, MOB2 provides visual indication via its integrated strobe lights. The dual infrared (IR) and white strobe lights ensure maximum visibility in low-light conditions, providing peace of mind to sailors and boaters by improving safety on the water and potentially saving lives in critical situations. Waterproof up to 10 meters, the MOB2 features a rugged construction and long-lasting battery, ensuring exceptional reliability.
The integration of Near Field Communication (NFC) technology makes the MOB2 much easier to use and manage. Users can program the MOB2’s MMSI and access the beacon’s data directly from their mobile phone. Simply place the phone near the beacon and the Ocean Signal Product app will automatically open, providing access to various usage information.
